Status Report - Week 44 2026

Real life

We finished our camping trip with two days near Ballon d'Alsace and nice hikes before driving back to Den Haag on Thursday.

Montagnes

We did not do much the rest of the week, Nathalie and the kids enjoying their last vacation days.

I ran the The Hague Marathon on Sunday, with a cold and a small ankle sprain, for a not-good-nor-terrible time of 5h 36min 16s. I pondered withdrawing from the 25th kilometer onward but since I was not hurting, I just walked/ran to avoid having Nathalie to come pick me up :-)

I finally finished A certain idea of France that I really loved, and started reading The Nerd Reich, that I came across in a recent blog post by Drew DeVault.

I only ran the marathon so my running week amounted to 42.67 km, and I had a very light week at GeoGuessr, winning 1 out of only 3 duels, enough stay in Master III.

I only submitted two hut patches:

  • A fix for a recent regression with configurations of a certain "shape".
  • A feature allowing to manipulate patchsets from the underlying email's Message-ID instead of the generated patchset ID.

On the aerc front, I submitted a small fix to complete Robin Jarry's work to restore CI.
