Status Report - Week 39 2026

Real life

Not much to report on that front; it was a very routine week.

My French bank still managed to disappoint me (again): somehow they flagged one of my connections to my account as coming from ... the UK, and therefore blocked my access. I did connect, but definitely not from the UK... On the one hand I agree that it's better to be safe than sorry, but my confidence in their doing things right constantly decreases...

I continued reading A certain idea of France and making progress on Maths MP-MP* - Tout-en-un.

I had a good week in terms of running, with 34.36 km, and yet another OK week at GeoGuessr, with 11 wins out of 21 duels.

Open source

I did a bit of work on the SourceHut ecosystem:

• I noticed a bug in a change I made a few weeks back in the hub webhook processing layer in Go, and therefore sent a patch. This unfortunately highlighted a hole in the tests I'd added for this in sr.ht-integration-testing, that will be addressed by this.
• I sent a patch to hut to allow inspecting webhooks, and in passing found a latent crash that will be fixed by this.

On the aerc front,

• I reviewed a bunch of patches.
• I submitted a fix for a regression with message flags and the IMAP header cache.
• Attempted to fix my IRC bot workaround.
