Status Report - Week 34 2026

Aug 24, 2026

Real life

The kids are enjoying various activities with their friends (bowling, climbing, Duinrell-ing...), and we do the driving (-: They resume school early September, so we need to slowly take them out of vacation mode...

I'm happy to report that we finally have rain again here, which is very nice and nature was clearly longing for. An inconvenient consequence is that I might have killed my phone during a run where it rained monsoon-style... I'll let it dry for a few days and we'll see.

Culture-wise, I continued reading The best and the brightest, and Maths MP-MP* - Tout-en-un, and we watched a few movies with the kids and their friends: The devil wears Prada, The big Lebowski and A perfect world.

Finally, I had a good week at running, with 33.54 km, and it was rollercoaster-y yet again at GeoGuessr, with 28 wins out of 61 duels. I really thought I'd be demoted to Gold I but was lucky to stay in Master IV in the end.

I finally got out of my hibernation and resumed working on the SourceHut ecosystem: I looked into a recent ticket about project hub events visibility, which took me to a nice adventure:

  • Adding support for list/tracker ACL manipulation in hut
  • Identifying and fixing a bug in lists' GraphQL API
  • Fixing an inconsistency between the lists UI and its GraphQL API
  • And (finally) submitting a patch to address the ticket :-)

Of course in parallel I worked on adding associated scenarios to sr.ht-integration-testing, and identified and fixed a regression in sr.ht-container-compose due to a recent change in core.sr.ht.
