Status Report - Week 37 2025
Real life
It's been a pretty quiet week. I caught a cold and did not feel super good for a couple of days, but I still managed to remove some items from my "obligatory tasks backlog", e.g. worked on my taxes :-)
I finished Mikko Hypponen's If it's smart, it's vulnerable, that was very entertaining. I particularly liked the story about how NotPetya impacted Maersk and how their Active Directory could be saved because one node in Nigeria was offline during the incident, and ended up being the one and only backup they had...
I barely ran, with only 18.22km this week.
Finally, I have not been able to study that much for GeoGuessr, but I definitely played more than usual and easily remained in the Gold II duels division. I feel that I should be able to go to Gold I within a month; fingers crossed! I finished the week with a ELO of 389 and my "Daily challenge streak" is at 23 days.

On the SourceHut front, I started to work on an existing ticket that's been bothering me for a while: "duplicate" mailing list events in my Activity page due to some lists being part of multiple projects. I submitted a "bad" patch, and follow-up with a new one that will be nicer, but is a bit of PITA to write because the data model is not ideal, and we obviously need to cope with existing data. I identified a deletion bug along the way, that I'll handle once I'm done with this one, as well as yet another configuration issue in sr.ht-container-compose, that I fixed here.
On the GCC side, I resurrected an old patch and started to work on the review comments, but did not go very far... maybe next week? :-)
